Quick Makeup Routine ๐Ÿ’‹

Good morning! It is a bright and beautiful day today. Let’s get this day started. For this blog post, I would like to chat about my quick and easy makeup routine for those days I need to head out of the door quickly or If I just want something that is simple.     I first start out with something that helps my makeup stay on all day no matter what and I use the Elf Hydro Grip Primer. This stuff is the absolute best!    I then go in with a bb cream or a light foundation. Some of my favorites are Elf Camo BB Cream, Maybelline Dream BB pure, and the Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation.    Next, I go in with concealer, I use Elf hydrating camo concealer.    Then, I want some color to my face. I use the Elf putty bronzer and Elf putty blush in Bora Bora.  Sometimes I set my face with face powder by Elf if I want a matte look.    Then its time for some eyeshadow. I use a wide variety of different eyeshadows from Morphe, SassybySavannah, Colourpop, and more.    Then it is time to

Fashion ๐Ÿงฅ๐Ÿ‘š๐Ÿ‘—๐Ÿ‘™

I just love fashion and have a huge love for it. I feel like it’s a way to show who I am and to express myself. I get my fashion inspiration from Pinterest and other social media like TikTok. I like to go shopping in person so I can really see the pieces in front of me rather than buying them online. Before buying online, I always make sure that I look and read the reviews before buying. I also look to see if there are pictures in the reviews, this is very important because you don’t want to get something that doesn’t look like the photo.     I have always had a passion for fashion and for dressing up. Growing up, I always had the cutest outfits. I like to go shop at the mall, outdoor outlets, and online at Amazon and Shein. My favorite colors to wear are all shades of pink and black. With me working at Marshall's, I like to dress up for work. It gets me more excited and ready to work. I feel way more put together and myself whenever I am dressed up. Fashion helps build my confid

Anxiety

Good morning. Happy Saturday. This is going to be a more serious blog post about anxiety. Since I was little, for as long as I can remember, I would get so anxious and nervous about anything and everything. Still to this day, I am the same way. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night, I would be nervous, especially at school, and I would be anxious in public places in large crowds. My parents took me to see a pediatrician and I got diagnosed with anxiety when I was in elementary school. It was hard then and now, it’s still something I still battle with. My anxiety got worse last Fall during nursing school and I told my professors and I didn’t receive any help or support except from my clinical instructor. We had tests, quizzes, and skill checkoffs every week and it was hard on my body, mentally and physically. I would not be able to sleep the night before and the next morning I would get sick. My anxiety has improved because I am no longer in the same nursing program, I am transferring.

Makeup ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿชž

One thing about me is that I absolutely love makeup. Growing up, I would watch makeup videos on Youtube and it has become one of my greatest passions. I love to sit and learn about different makeup, makeup brands, brushes, or in other words, everything about makeup. Growing up, I have always been insecure and just felt like I wasn’t like other girls. I felt like I didn’t have the greatest skin, beautiful complexion, or the long eyelashes. Whenever I started to wear little bits of makeup, it helped my self confidence tremendously.     Still to this day, I still watch makeup videos and still continue to buy lots of makeup. I have a huge makeup collection with different makeup palettes, brushes, and many beauty products. Some of my favorite makeup brands are Morphe, Colourpop, Elf, Maybelline, Too Faced, and SassybySavannah, just to name a few. Don’t get me wrong I love to wear makeup as I’m sure other girls do as well. But we don’t need it. We are beautiful without it. I just wear it b

Dear Best Friend

Dear Sidney,     Where do I begin? It has only been a few years but I feel like I have known you my whole life. I could not imagine living this crazy life without you in it. I will be forever thankful that God has made our paths cross. I knew the first day we met, we instantly clicked, and I knew you were my best friend from then on. We have been through so many great memories from getting into nursing school together, taking breaks in between classes, ranting to each other on the phone, me being beside you on your wedding day, and so much more. I am extremely proud of you Sid! You are going to be one heck of a nurse and I cannot wait till we work together. It’s extremely hard not seeing you every single day but I can’t wait till we reunite soon! I know no matter what, If I ever need you, you will always be there for me, and I will do the same. You have been always been there for me and you never left my side. You are such an amazing and beautiful person inside and out. Anyone would

My Favorite Season

Welcome back and Happy Thursday. I hope you all are doing well. It is so beautiful and nice outside today. I thought I would talk about my favorite season which happens to be Spring. I love Spring because it’s not too hot but also not too cold (except we live in North Carolina so sometimes it can be too hot or too cold). But I just love the days when it’s nice and warm outside with a little bit of a breeze. My favorite thing to do in the Springtime is going outside, sitting on the front porch, reading a book, and listening to the birds chirping.   Spring is also my favorite because it’s when flowers begin to grow and bloom into something so beautiful and pleasing to the eye. The days get longer and warmer and it is just so nice to be able to stay outside longer. Overall my mood just significantly improves and I love to be outdoors longer getting Vitamin D. The Springtime is also when our neighborhood pool opens and that is definitely a bonus. I believe that the Spring season brings m

My Celebrity Role Model

My celebrity role model goes by the name Savannah Chrisley. Her and her family have a show on USA Network called   Chrisley Knows Best.  She has appeared on Sharknado 4, Royal Pains, and Hollywood Game Night. She has a podcast named   Unlocked with Savannah  and she has her own makeup, skincare, and fragrance line called   Sassy by Savannah.  I have ordered things from her and I love it all. I love Savannah because she’s real, truthful, and not afraid what people think about her. She opens up about her struggles in life and she is not afraid to talk about her faith. I love how she talks about herself being a Christian, a lot of well known people are too scared to talk about their faith because not everyone agrees and they don’t want to lose fans. I would love to meet her one day, I think it would be absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, her parents are in jail for something that they didn’t do. She is using her platform to spread awareness and kindness. With her parents being in jail, s

Self Tan

Good evening everyone!     A nice, fresh, golden tan makes me feel so good about myself. I use a variety of self tanners. Some have a natural glow to them and some have a golden tan to them. My favorite self tanner right now is by b.tan tanned AF. It is a dark one hour express self tanner. The b.tan brand is the best because it’s vegan and cruelty free, no fake tan smell, no parabens, 100% natural DHA, and made with recyclable materials. I usually do my tan on a Sunday or Monday. However if there is a special event during the week I will do it 2 days before so it can look nice and fresh.    I started using self tan last year and I love it. It really helps boost my self-esteem and confidence. I was born with a pale complexion and now I can look and feel my best with a nice golden tan to my skin. I feel better and seem happier with my self tan on. I have some redness to my skin and it helps me cover it up. I am so thankful for self tan and the confidence it gives me.

Heaven

Hey Everyone. Hope you guys are doing well. I know I haven’t been on here in a while because life has been so crazy. This is going to be a more serious blog post. These past few days have been so sad. My boyfriend’s grandfather passed away. There are no words to describe it.     He was like a second grandfather to me. He was such an amazing man and had such a great impact on my life. I will be forever grateful for him and the memories we shared. He was the perfect example of a Godly man. He helped me get closer to Jesus Christ and I will be forever grateful for that. Whenever I would visit on Sundays, he would give me the biggest hug, ask how I’m doing, pray for me, and give me advice and inspiration. I love him so much and family get-togethers will be different without him but it is something he would want his family to continue doing. His funeral was today and it was perfect and everything he wanted it to be.    I believe in Heaven and I believe he is up there with Jesus. He is up

Happy Saturday!

I hope everyone is having an amazing Saturday so far! It is very cold, wet, and rainy here. I’m sure this happens to everyone but rain makes me want to stay in bed, watch movies, and take a nap. But It is the day before Easter, we have a lot to do. We are having all of my family over at my house tomorrow so it is a cleaning and cooking day. I have fresh clean sheets, a clean bathroom, and I am slowly but surely working on cleaning my bedroom. Later on today, we have some fun things planned. We are going to dye some eggs, make chocolate covered strawberries, and peanut butter balls.    We have a lot of family coming over tomorrow for Easter and I am so excited. I love spending time with family. As a Christian, Easter is very important. It’s a holiday that celebrates the belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ himself rose from the dead and this brought eternal life to his followers. Without Jesus Christ, we would not be here. It is all because of him. To

Why I Do My Own Nails

One thing about me is that I love to have my nails done. It makes me feel more put together and confident. Whenever Covid first happened, I started getting into doing my own nails because I was bored sitting at home and the nail salons were closed. I went on Amazon and ordered some supplies. I have a ton of nail polishes, a LED nail lamp, nail tools, stickers, and so much more. I have a large assortment of colors of nail polishes, I have every single color of the rainbow and more. My favorite thing is doing my nails for different holidays and seasons.     I also do other people’s nails like my mom, my grandmother, and my mawmaw in the nursing home. It’s very relaxing, fun, and helps relieve my stress. It also saves me a ton of money. A nail salon can be very expensive especially if you go every two weeks like most people. The creative outlet it gives me is nice. I love picking a color and design, getting comfortable, putting on a movie or show, and start doing my nails.  If I don’t l

Things Worth Watching on Netflix ๐Ÿ“บ

The Night Agent: OMG! Where do I begin? This is the best show that I have enjoyed watching in a long time. This is a tv series that was just released this year about an FBI agent, Peter Sutherland. He works in the basement of the White House and he’s in charge of the phone that apparently doesn’t ring, but it does one night. This phone call leads to a rabbit hole and it’s very interesting to watch all of the twists and turns.     Grey’s Anatomy: I think everyone has watched this. I love the medical aspect and the drama. I enjoy watching the character development, the relationships, and the medical scenarios.    Love Is Blind: This tv series is a bit strange. There are so many men and women. They go into these rooms called the pods and talk to each other one on one. However, they cannot see each other. They can propose and then get to see each other in person. After this, they get to go to a resort, spend time with one another, live with each other, and then comes the wedding. At the

Skincare

Hello Friends! ๐Ÿงด๐Ÿ’†๐Ÿป‍♀️✨๐Ÿง–๐Ÿผ‍♀️   This blog post is dedicated to skincare. I love skincare and having a routine. No matter how old you are, it’s important to have good skincare. It’s crucial that people take good care of their skin. As time goes on in our lives, our collagen and elastin decrease. We have skin cells that shed throughout every single day so it’s important that we maintain good skin condition.    Here is my skincare routine:    -         Cleanser: Gently wash your face and rinse with warm water -         Exfoliate: Use once or twice a week. This helps remove dead skin -         Toner: This helps smooth and calm your skin, and restore nutrients -         Facemask: I do this every once in a while for fun and self care -         Serum: The serum that I use helps with redness, acne, hydration, etc -         Moisturize: This is a must! You need to keep your skin nice and hydrated   My favorite brand of skincare is The Ordinary. They have really good and affordable products.

My Goals for the Future

Hello! Welcome back to Sam’s Life!   In this blog post, I will be talking about my future life goals. Let’s get started.    Growing up, it has always been a dream of mine to be in the medical field. I love caring and taking care of people. For those of you that don’t know, I am a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and this May will be my two-year anniversary of working in the medical field.    When I was younger, I always dreamed of becoming a nurse and it’s starting to become true. This past fall was my first semester of nursing school and I loved learning about anything and everything. I was basically a sponge, soaking up all of the information that I could. This upcoming fall, I will be transferring to a different school and I recently got accepted into their nursing program and I couldn’t be more excited!   My first future goal is to become a Labor & Delivery Nurse. I want to help families bring their precious babies into this world and I am so excited.    My next goal is to g

A Day In The Life ✏️๐Ÿ’ค

Day in the Life! Hello Everyone! I hope y’all had a great Monday. Here is a day in the life of a typical school and work day.     8:40 am: I woke up, checked my phone, and looked at my to-do list. I quickly realized it was going to be a busy day. It is so hard for me to sleep in so this was so nice!   9:00 am: Went to the bathroom to brush my teeth, put in contacts, and do my morning skincare routine.    9:15 am: I went downstairs to fix some breakfast to get my day started. I had a bagel with strawberry cream cheese and an iced coffee. It was absolutely delicious.    9:30 am: I started getting ready by changing into comfy clothes and did my makeup.    10:15 am: I started reviewing some Spanish for my Spanish zoom that I have to join.    10:30 am: I joined my LinguaMeeting for Spanish. Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday Friends!  ๐ŸŒท☀️   Today has been such a good day with absolutely gorgeous weather. I started off the day by fixing some breakfast: toast with Nutella and iced coffee. It was amazing!! Then I quickly got ready for church for Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is a day to celebrate the day Jesus entered Jerusalem before his crucifixion. It was such a nice service. Afterward, my mom, cousin, and I went to the food pantry in our church and bagged food items for people in need in our town.    Later, we came home and ate some lunch. I have been so worn out from working and school, so I decided to take an hour nap. This was much needed. After I woke up, I got dressed and ready for work at Marshall’s. Work went really well tonight. I went in at 5’o clock, it was a little busy but died down. I cleaned up the ladies’ department and took clothes back from the returns and dressing rooms. It was overall a great night and I’m thankful. I got to bond with my co-workers more and get to know them a
